Thermal FreeFrame Plugin (c)2007 Alex May
The first new plugin of 2007! Happy new year!
This one gives an effect that looks similar to a thermal camera. It's actually a bit of a side effect of whacking the saturation of the image up full and setting the luma to a half.
There is also a black and white mode that treats red as the 'hottest' colour, though this can be changed by the Hue Rotate control.
Feeding a black and white image into the plugin will result in very little output!
Parameters
- Colour (on/off) Selects whether to do colour or black and white processing on the image
- Hue Rotate causes the image to have its colours cycled making it look quite strange!
- Blur Radius gives an optional blurring to the image which will smooth out stray pixels
- Luma Overlay adds the source luma (brightness) values to the new image to bring back detail
